Last updated: 14 June 2026

1. Membership

Membership begins when we accept your application and, where applicable, your first payment is taken. Membership types, prices, class allowances and validity periods are shown in the portal at the time you join. We may change prices or membership terms with reasonable notice. Membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred to another person. You are responsible for keeping your contact, emergency contact and health information up to date.

2. Payments

Recurring memberships are paid by Direct Debit or another recurring payment method made available through the portal. You will be told the amount and payment dates in advance. One-off purchases, passes, day passes, shop items and interim payments may be paid by card or another method offered in the portal.

If a payment fails, we may suspend access until it is resolved. Repeated failed payments may lead to cancellation of your membership. If your membership uses Direct Debit, you may cancel the Direct Debit with your bank, but doing so does not automatically cancel your membership or any notice period. Please also contact us so we can manage the account correctly. Any sums properly due remain payable.

Refunds for one-off passes, unused credits and shop items are handled at our discretion except where the law gives you a right to a refund.

3. Cancelling your membership

To cancel a recurring membership, tell us by email or through the portal. Any notice period or cancellation terms shown in the portal or agreed when you joined will apply. Passes, credit packs and fixed-term products are valid for the period shown when purchased and are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

4. Booking and cancelling classes

Classes are booked through the ClubRight portal. Classes release 14 days ahead at 6am daily. You may cancel a booking up to 3 hours before the class starts. Cancelling later than this, or not attending, may mean the class or credit is forfeited.

Please cancel as early as possible if you cannot attend so the place can be offered to another member. We may cancel or reschedule classes where needed, for example because of coach availability, safety, low numbers, or events outside our control. We will give as much notice as reasonably possible.

5. Health, fitness and your declaration

You must provide accurate health and emergency contact information before training, including any information requested through our PARQ or registration process. You must tell us promptly if anything changes. If you are unsure whether you should train, seek medical advice first. You must not train while injured, unwell, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs where this could put you or others at risk.

6. Assumption of risk

BJJ and MMA are contact martial arts and carry an inherent risk of injury, including from grappling, sparring, throws, submissions, impact, and physical conditioning. You take part voluntarily and agree to train within your ability, follow coaches' instructions, tap when needed, and respect your training partners' safety.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Conduct

Members, parents, guardians and visitors must treat coaches, staff and other members with respect. We may refuse entry, suspend, or cancel membership where conduct is unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, dishonest, or otherwise harmful to the academy community. No training under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

8. Juniors

For members under 18, a parent or guardian must register the child, provide consent, keep contact and health information up to date, and agree to these terms on the child's behalf. Junior members train in supervised, age-appropriate sessions.

9. The member portal

The portal is provided through ClubRight. Keep your login details secure and use the portal only for managing your own membership, or your child's membership where you are the parent or guardian. We are not responsible for portal downtime outside our control, but will work with ClubRight to restore service where needed.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be shown on this page. Significant changes affecting your membership will be communicated where appropriate.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
